‘Die magische Bretterbudenburg’ is an interactive image book that takes even the youngest members of the family on an entertaining journey with its child-friendly story. 3 siblings set off to find their beloved chicken Berta. In the process, they stumble across the eponymous Bretterbudenburg, in which magical rooms await the young adventurers alongside crazy instruments. The conflicts that arise in the course of the tale bring action to the gaming experience, but are never overwhelming or frightening. At the end of every chapter, a short quiz offers the opportunity to playfully try the child's attention and understanding of the text.
Particularly noteworthy is the loving drawing style, which not only delights kids with its harmonious colours and age-appropriate hero design, but also older family members. The texts, which are simple to read thanks to their pleasant font size, are intentionally unaccented as they are intended to be read aloud by adults and kids together.’
